"The Joy of Sharing
God's blessing to the Young"
By: Novice Paolo Romero

October 6, 2016. In the Encyclical letter of Pope Francis on care for our common home, “Laudo Si,” he presented some bad realities that are happening in our environment, and sadly most of these were caused by man. He quoted the bishops of Southern Africa: “Everyone’s talents and involvement are needed to redress the damage caused by human abuse of God’s creation.” With this, he urges all of us to be instruments of God for the care of creation, each according to his or her own culture, talents and the like (LS 14).

As a way of responding to Pope’s invitation the novices of the Don Bosco Sacred Heart Novitiate-Cebuwent for tree planting in Carcar, Cebu, in the convent of the Siervas Sisters of the Our Lady of Peace, They planted at least 15 fruit bearing trees and 30 or more other hard woods in the surroundings of the convent.
